Forget Megan Fox: Bay's Transformers 4 has found its leading lady
Michael Bay is trying to shake up the tone of his Transformers franchise by adding Mark Wahlberg as the new headliner, but dont worry, hell still have a young leading lady in the line up.
Forget Megan Fox and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, the former on-screen girlfriends of Shia LaBeoufs Sam Witwicky in the first three Transformers movies. For Transformers 4, Bay has tapped 18-year-old actress Nikola Peltz for a key role, likely the daughter of Wahlbergs character.
Peltz already has two genre roles under her belt, via The Last Airbender and creepy new A&E series Bates Motel, but can she muster proper reactiony faces to all the explosions and ridiculous FX to come? Who knows, and only time will tell if she has the leading lady chops to lead a Michael Bay tentpole.
Peltzs character will likely be the girlfriend of a young race car driving character played by Jack Reynor, at least according to some early storyline reports.
Do you think Peltz is a good pick for the franchise?
