Rob Dyrdek Recalls That Time He 'Accosted Megan Fox' At VMAs

Since joining the MTV family, Rob Dyrdek has accumulated his fair share of unforgettable VMA moments, but his favorites occurred in 2007, when the big show was held at the Palms Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Before the "Ridiculousness" host gets set for the 2012 Video Music Awards on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET/PT, he took a trip down memory lane.

"'Rob and Big' had sort of just started taking off, and I was walking into a hotel room and I got ran up on by Diddy," the skateboard star told MTV News of the 2007 show. "He took me into a room to show me skateboarding on a T.V ... It was incredibly bizarre."

Still, that wasn't the strangest part. Dyrdek had developed a crush of sorts on actress Megan Fox, who had just made her big Hollywood splash starring in the blockbuster film "Transformers" a couple of months prior to the awards. When Rob spotted Fox, he seized the opportunity and tried get the brunette beauty's attention--that's if his foggy memory serves him correctly.

"I believe I got up out of my chair and accosted Megan Fox," he said. "It doesn't even make sense."

When security got involved, things got worse for poor Rob. "I think they were all trying to kick me out," he vaguely recollected. "It was an interesting VMAs."

There's no telling what will go down this Thursday at Staples Center, but between the main show at 8 p.m. ET/PT and the pre-show at 7 p.m. there will surely be no shortage of unforgettable moments.
