Magazine apologizes to Megan Fox

The French magazine Jalouse has apologized to actress Megan Fox for misquoting her in its April issue.

The issue quoted Fox, 26, as saying that she "would not trade my place with an unattractive girl.

The misquotes led to criticism toward the actress after it was translated into English for U.S. outlets.

The following month, Fox wrote on Facebook that she was misquoted.

Jalouse has now printed a retraction and Fox returned to Facebook to thank them.

"In a Jalouse cover story featuring Ms. Megan Fox, we unfortunately misquoted Ms. Fox. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, the retraction read.

Fox has been married to actor Brian Austin Green since 2010. In April, they announced that they are expecting their first child.

She is known for her roles in Transformers (2007) and Friends with Kids (2012).

While Fox was in the Transformers sequel, Revenge of the Fallen (2009), she did not appear in Dark of the Moon (2011) because she compared the films director, Michael Bay, to Adolf Hitler. Others involved in the production stated that Fox is difficult to work with. This led to executive producer Steven Spielberg firing her from the production.
