Megan Fox To Extend 15 Minutes of Fame With 10 Minutes on Broadway
Actress Megan Fox, best known for being in the first two Transformers flicks and being a perennial placeholder on Maxim's Hot 100 list, will be making her Broadway debut. The catch: Fox's performance will last a mere 10 minutes.
Nov. 14 will see an event called "The 24 Hour Plays" hit Broadway. The event is a fundraiser that benefits the Urban Arts Partnership. The Urban Arts Partnership seeks to "advance the intellectual, social and artistic development of underserved public school students through arts-integrated education programs to close the achievement gap." Mezzanine-level tickets are running $250 (see here for more ticket information).
The event will honor the "24 Hour Plays" 10th anniversary. The event was originally inspired by Scott McCloud's 24-hour comic book day, in which comic book artists attempt to create an entire story in one day. The "24 Hour Plays" are a little different. They are billed as 24 actors, six writers, and six directors conducting "six short plays written and rehearsed in a single day." Each play lasts 8-12 minutes, for a total performance time around an hour.
At the Broadway event, along with Megan Fox, attendees can see celebrities such as Jason Biggs, Jesse Eisenberg, John Krasinsk, Jack McBrayer, Woody Harrelson, Tracy Morgan, Gabourey Sidibe and Julia Stiles.
